One of the things we want to do with our blog is introduce you to some of our amazing employees. We know you’ll be excited to meet the fun, creative people who put the imagination in Can You Imagine!
But there’s a slight problem when it comes to our executive team – we’ve introduced them already (in a fun, creative way, of course!) elsewhere on our website. (Just see “About Us.”) So, we thought we’d focus instead on what they DO, rather than who they ARE, and share a bit about what a typical workday looks like.
Here’s what CEO Jeff Forman had to say about that:
“There is no typical day! But every day, communicating with our customers and learning more about their needs is sort of paramount to me. Also, since ours is a highly-specialized small business, I need to make sure we’re getting the word out to potential new customers.
On an almost daily basis, I talk ideas with our product team about new offerings and what challenges they are having, like the supply issues that plagued much of 2020. Our new offerings in the past year included the major step of adding a line of wines, complete with custom labels. We devoted a lot of time to selecting the right partner for that venture.
I spend at least some time every day on finance and accounting, budgeting for the year, and monitoring sales closely. Then, I’m checking out new technology: over time, we’re evolving into a company that’s even easier to do business with. I also try to talk to everyone on the staff almost every day, from structured weekly meetings to the informal stuff where so much of the creativity surfaces. We’ve got a great team and it’s energizing to share ideas with them.”
