What are your plans for the Fourth?

With Memorial Day behind us, it is unofficially summer! Pools are open, kids are out of school, and summer calendars are quickly filling with plans! July 4th is just around the corner. We have lots of ideas on how apartment communities can celebrate in various ways to create a festive and patriotic atmosphere for residents.

Here are our top 8:

Community Barbecue
Organize a community barbecue where residents can come together and enjoy grilled food. Set up grills in a common area, provide picnic tables, and encourage residents to bring potluck dishes...maybe even have a contest for the best side dish! Decorations
Decorate the common areas, entrances, and clubhouse with patriotic decorations such as flags, banners, streamers, and balloons in red, white, and blue. Encourage residents to decorate their balconies or windows as well to foster a sense of unity.

Parade or Walk
Organize a mini-parade or a group walk around the apartment community. Encourage residents to dress in patriotic attire and provide small flags or hand-held decorations. Play patriotic music or have a local band perform during the parade or walk.

Fireworks Viewing
If there's a nearby fireworks display, organize a gathering at a community space or rooftop where residents can enjoy a good view. Ensure safety measures are in place, and provide snacks and drinks to enhance the experience. If fireworks are not feasible, consider screening a fireworks display on a large projector screen.

Games and Activities
Arrange a variety of games and activities for residents of all ages. Set up outdoor games like cornhole, horseshoes, or tug-of-war. You can also organize patriotic-themed contests such as a costume contest, pie-eating contest, or a water balloon toss.

Movie Night
