Pantone Color of the Year 2021

Hey, we don’t follow trends – we set them!

Consider Pantone’s Color of the Year 2021. It is actually two colors, “Ultimate Gray” and “Illuminating,” which is a bright yellow. OK, we know you’re asking “What is Pantone?” and “How can two colors both be color of the year?” Pantone is a color matching system that’s heavily used in printing, fashion design, home décor, etc. Each year the company picks a color from its thousands of shades and proclaims it that year’s winner. For 2021, they picked two – not as a tie, but as a combined pair. You have to admit, that buttoned-down gray and the vibrant yellow make a handsome couple.

As we noticed in 2012, when we first introduced our Links Collection, gray with occasional pops of yellow, as in a yellow suede tassel.
