Here’s #8: Special occasions deserve to be celebrated, despite pandemics – or even because of them.

Safety concerns related to the pandemic have gutted large parts of our lives. Among residential communities, we’ve put aside the special events that helped us build a sense of community among residents. Gone, at least for the moment, are the open-the-pool picnic and the signature Halloween costume party, even the weekly coffee klatch. Until we can return to those events, re-deploy that entertainment budget to gifts that reassure residents the fun will return when we turn the corner on the pandemic.

What better way to tell folks that better days will come again, along with the resumption of treasured special events, than with a cheerful, hopeful gift?
